Sunset Atop Nikia

Atop the Greek volcanic island of Nisyros sits the village of Nikia at about 400 meters (1200ft) above sea level. Given its impressive altitude compared to the rest of the island you can clearly see many of the other Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. It is part of the Dodecanese Island chain and is off the beaten path for travelers who are looking for a more authentic Greek experience.
