Sufi

“Sufi” is a motioned photo composite inspired by a quatrain from Rumi, one of the most beloved poets of all times.

The quatrain calligraphy in this piece:

مائیم که از بادهٔ بی‌جام خوشیم هر صبح منوریم و هر شام خوشیم گویند سرانجام ندارید شما مائیم که بی‌هیچ سرانجام خوشیم

Here is the best English translation I could find:

“We have a huge barrel of wine, but no cups. That's fine with us. Every morning we glow and in the evening we glow again. They say there's no future for us. They're right. Which is fine with us.”
