Suburban Gothic

Grant Wood`s narrative was about the 30s rural midwest, celebrating ingrained, old-fashioned rural values.

So, my "life as we know it" interpretation had to be about the suburban couple, about the dysfunctional values that govern our lives and, yes, sometimes even our relationships . Now, about the "traditional" roles...come on...take a long hard look around. This time, SHE needs to be the one holding the pitchfork.
