Trying to express notions of beauty is of fundamental importance, especially now.

The job of the artist is to create beauty so that it begins to inform our behaviour.

The contemplation of beauty as-it-is rather than the contemplation of wealth as-it-could-be is clearly more beneficial for all of us. Not in some Utopian future that never seems to arrive but now.
