“Sputnik-1” is the first artificial Earth satellite, a Soviet spacecraft launched into orbit on October 4, 1957. The “Sputnik-1” radio transmitting device (radio station D-200) emitted radio waves at two frequencies: 20.005 and 40.002 MHz.
