Created from a long-exposure photograph of a quartz crystal owned by Flexasaurus Rex, Spirals transforms a mineral artifact into a living audiovisual mandala. The visual source material was captured through long-exposure photography before being fragmented, mirrored, and datamoshed using Mosh Pro, producing an evolving field of geometric mutations. What began as stone became a signal. Crystal structure becomes circuitry. Natural form becomes digital memory. The soundtrack was composed entirely on the Elektron Model Cycles, whose FM-generated tones orbit the image. Together, sound and image create a slow-moving meditation on repetition, transformation, and emergence. Spirals exists in the space between geology and technology—a quartz crystal refracted through machines until the boundaries between the organic and synthetic dissolve.
I hope you enjoy it, Fen
