Speculative Fetish (Vive Controller)

“Floating 3D hands gently caress a floating VR controller in front of a coral pink background. The loop cuts between two shots, one showing the more phallic side of the controller, and the other the more orifice-like side. Theo Triantafyllidis’ work often deals with virtuality and fantasy in epic longform animations and performances — ‘Speculative Fetish (Vive Controller)’ is more like a haiku on these themes.” —Rick Silva

“Originally made for and exhibited at Faith Holland’s Speculative Fetish GIF party on January 6, 2018. The brief was: ‘Internet Rule 34. There is porn of it, no exception. | Rule 35. If no porn is found at the moment, it will be made.’” —Theo Triantafyllidis
