Spectral Iris

I enjoy creating curving, sinuous forms that mimic nature. In this piece, I have sought to display an iris-like flower with a lightly textured and delicately coloured background, using the purple palette of a natural iris. The form flows and gentle, graduated shading combined with soft highlights give the whole piece solidity.
