Space-Time Distortion

The warping of space-time by the force of gravitation was predicted in Einstein. Einstein's Special and General Theories of Relativity, written in 1905 and 1916 respectively, showed that very high velocities or an intensification of gravity can bend time in the same way that a ball on a rubber sheet would.

The higher the speed or the stronger the gravity, the greater the curvature of time, better known as dilation.

The piece in question is an imaginary representation of two black holes colliding with each other and producing a distortion of space-time.
