They say every soul, after death, either finds peace or drifts into the realm of shadows. But some… suffer a fate worse than death. These are the ones who leave the world filled with hatred, regret, and curses. Their souls can neither fade nor rest. A flame ignites within them burning, yet never extinguishing.
This fire is called “SoulBurn.” A soul caught in its own fire transforms into a wraith, forever trapped between two worlds: neither alive, nor dead. The more it burns, the brighter its flames become, until even the shadows themselves recoil in fear.
They say if you walk through an ancient graveyard at night and catch the scent of cold smoke, you must flee at once. For there, a soul is burning. And if your eyes meet its gaze, it will steal a fragment of your soul feeding its eternal fire.
Some believe that those who encounter the SoulBurn will never again know peaceful sleep. For a part of its fire seeps into their hearts… and slowly, they too begin to burn, until they are transformed into one of the forsaken, burning phantoms.
