Sophie's Nap

This is from a digital oil painting of my old dog Sophie, who was an Italian Greyhound. She loved the warm sun and this was painted in our home in Boston, where she loved to luxuriate in the warm sunshine. I used the warm tones of one of my favourite chairs, just noticeable in the background, to tie in the tones in Sophie's fur and the sunshine.
