The day was cold, but the sun was peeking out from behind the gray clouds. The snowy forest was bathed in a soft white light; the snow on the branches shone like diamond dust, and every breeze carried thousands of ice particles into the air. A stream bubbled between the pine trees, its water clear and cold, with icy blue streaks. Near the stones were thin layers of ice like broken glass, and the sun made a small rainbow on them. Sometimes a bird would sit on a branch, the snow would fall down, and its rustling sound would echo in the silence of the forest. The stream whispered softly, as if saying to the snow: "Don't worry, spring is coming."
