Simple Leaves

This is a strikingly minimalist image and yet it belies the complexity of life. The first two leaves put out by a seedling are very rudimentary and yet vital. Here I have shown a stylized plant against an incised stone surface. Is it a single, folded leaf or two distinct leaves? A very thought provoking strong image of new life.
