Simhamukha Dakini is a Buddhist Vajrayana Dakini. The practice is given through empowerment by a Buddhist teacher to their student. However, we all can enjoy the artwork from this Vajrayana Buddhist Tradition. I was given Simhamukha empowerment through 3 different teachers. I love the Dakini because she protects the mind through the practice of wise compassion. The Lion Faced Dakini is used to clear obstacles within one's mind dealing with the 3 poisons, delusions, confusion, greed, sensual attachment, and aversion. She also protects the land from poisons, disturbances, and calamities.
