I was walking the streets of Laguna Beach on a warm summer day when I glanced up and saw this is sign on the gate. "Posted Keep Out" I stared at it for a while, mesmerized by the message before capturing this moment. I kept thinking of this passage from Surrender by Sonya Hartnett. “She doesn't understand that doors, walls, fences, ceilings - they're helpless to keep out what determinedly desires to get in.”
