Painted in 2018 by Carl Ansloos in response to the rise in antisemitism in Britain and around the world. Using powerful symbolism, the artist references the systematic state-sponsored persecution and genocide of millions of Jews by the Nazi regime and its allies, between 1933 and 1945. Approximately six million Jews and five million others were targeted and murdered for racial, political, and ideological reasons. This image reverberated around the world when it was first published online, 2018
