Description:
Shadow Play was taken back in 2018, this was one of the earlier light painting work which I created. I still remember fondly how difficult it was to get there and to also shoot there. It was taken on a clear and cold night where I had to walk through some tricky terrain that contain some limestone rocks which are made up many different shapes. So, to get to the destination, I had to be extra careful not tripped whilst holding my camera on tripod looking for the best spot to shoot. Even when I arrived at the destination, the surface were extremely tricky to work on as I was literally standing on top of uneven rocks with many deep ditches.
Nevertheless, in the end I was able improvise and find ways to set everything up and eventually create this piece here. Here, I wanted the tree branches to stand out against the vibrant backdrop with stars, so I used a higher aperture to capture the shot. And with a little extra post-processing, I was able to create the silhouette of the tree with the drone encircling at the top to create the sci-fi looking piece you see here.
