Self-portrait (?) with screwdriver

The creative process can often be filled with frustration and difficulty. In the depths of a creative dilemma, any artist might feel the urge to give up. This painter wonders if he is capable of creating something that will give him satisfaction. The canvas in front of him is certainly a far cry from the beauty he dreams of creating. Everywhere he looks he can see potential improvements, but he just cannot make them happen. As he stands in front of the easel, he feels helpless to improve the work. The frustration has reached an all-time high, causing him to grab a screwdriver and hold it up to his unfinished artwork in a flurry of angst. His thoughts spin in circles and he can’t seem to make sense of anything anymore. Despite the overwhelming nature of the moment, there is a strange feeling of calmness radiating from the screwdriver in his hand. The painter is able to take a deep breath and remember why he started in the first place. As the frustration slowly fades, the painter takes a step back and examines his artwork once again. He knows that the only way forward is to keep pushing himself and to find the courage to stay true to his vision no matter how difficult the journey may be. With this thought in mind, the painter takes the screwdriver from his hand and begins anew.
