Why do we explore? Why are humans hard-wired to climb over the next mountain ridge, cross the next ocean, fly spaceships to other planets? There are many benefits to the safest options; staying home can increase our life expectancy dramatically! And yet we strive to reach new places; to find novelty in our reality; to boldly go... well, you know. My own theory? We're thrill-seekers, down to our bones, in our very DNA. We crave that novelty; we need it.
