Instead, I run. Until my lungs burn, until my legs feel like they’re splitting apart. The physical pain… it’s the only thing loud enough to drown out the noise in my head.

Still, I smile. Not because I’m okay, but because I’m here. Still breathing. Still moving. That has to count for something in the post apocalyptic paradise.

The world we knew? It’s gone. No going back. And no matter what I do… the pain stays. Like a shadow.

But I keep moving. Not to escape it… Just to survive it.”
