Crimson letters seared into flesh A branding forced by fear's hysterical mess Deemed an outsider for living life her own way While society's small minds had her pay
Once upon a time Scarlet letters branded an outsider's skin while society's fear took innocent souls. Though the flames have long ceased, manifestations of such practices have evolved. Those ostracized in zealous righteousness are still carrying crimson imprints and are forced to suffer in contemporary society. It seems like the witch hunt is not over and has only reformed.
