Saint Michael

Saint Michael triumphing over the dragon; St Michael, holding a cross-ended spear and a shield, seen standing and transfixing a monstrous creature, with breasts, wings and a dragon tail.

Prayer – St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, protect our sacred family, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Michael et angeli eius praeliabantur cum dracone ... et projectus est draco.
