Saguaro cacti (Carnegiea gigantea) are only found in the Sonoran Desert. They are becoming increasingly threatened and endangered by climate change and pollution. Saguaros are extremely slow growing. A ten year old Saguaro can be less than two inches tall. Saguaros can live as long as two centuries, occasionally reaching heights of 60 feet (18 m) and weighing more than 2 tons (1814 KG).
