A mystical seaweed lives in the darkness of the sea depths. This predatory creature imitates brides, growing masks of the faces of beautiful girls. In the sparkling darkness, alone, the predator waits for its prey.
Here is a myth born of my imagination as a result of deep immersion in northern Slavic mythology with its images and symbols.

The painting was created on a 120x100 cm canvas, using marker, acrylic metallic and glitter, shimmering like fish scales. The graphic part is created in the complex and graceful technique of pointillism (dot work). Among the crowns of seaweed you can see the ancient slavic headdresses, called kokoshniks: the lunnik (moon-shaped model), for example, or the two-horned kichka. The artwork was created about 6 months, 2022-2023.
