A quiet blue memory of childhood.
A lone figure sits before an old CRT computer on a small island of grass, inside a room made almost entirely of blue light and shadow. The screen feels like the entrance to one of those first digital worlds. The grass pulls the scene back to the earth, to the body, to the place where memory still has roots.
In computing, a root directory is where a system begins. I kept thinking about that while making this piece. Not only as a technical idea, but as something personal: the hidden place inside us where identity starts to arrange itself.
Early solitude. Curiosity. Imagination. The private worlds we built before we knew how to explain them.
The blue is distance. The space between the child we were and the person looking back now. The old screen glows like a small archive of childhood, while the living patch of grass holds the image close to what remains: roots, memory, and the quiet foundations we still carry.
Created for #ROOTED, a collective drop about nostalgia, childhood, and life memories through a shared blue palette.
