Symbolized in RM.NFT.2.BicycleWheel is Marcel Duchamp’s first Readymade sculpture, Bicycle Wheel, from 1913. However, some spokes are broken. The concept of the readymade is broken. As the wheel makes one complete rotation, the drawing cycles through each color of the rainbow. Originally created to celebrate Bicycle Day, a day that honors Albert Hofmann’s intentional ingestion of 250 mcg of LSD on April 19, 1943, the effects of which he began to feel on his bicycle ride home from his laboratory.
