This piece is inspired by a book my dad got me that sparked my interest in history and ultimately Renaissance and art in general. The book speaks about the various conquests of man and moments of war and peace that literally shaped the world we know now. From the spanish conquistadors to the Qing dynasty, it’s about man’s quest for peace and also the devastations of revolutions and war.
