Red Darkroom, 2022
Red Darkroom is devoted to magical moments I have spent in a red darkroom developing photos in that mesmerising red light.
When I started developing photographs at our home darkroom at the age of 15 my passion was and still is overlaying shapes and forms from different negatives (or same negative but in different positions) to make one, having surprising but still recognisable figures.
I was changing their directions, overlaying and studying the visual messages, making connections to all art in books and museums, listening to music, enjoying the mystery. and the making of it.
Red Darkroom = Magic.
In year 2022 I often use AI in addition to photography. However, this piece is without photography, it is AI, digital media and magic.
