Reawakening

Exactly two years ago, from the day I recorded this clip, I was diagnosed with Stage 3c colon cancer. The night before my diagnosis, I was out with friends photographing these same tulips.

A lot happened in those two years. After I beat cancer, COVID lockdowns hit. It gave me more time to really reflect on what is important. These tulips opening up represent a new time for me. I am no longer afraid to take calculated risks. I am open and will transcend the boundaries of my comfort zone.
