Rainbow Bright

Lost in a prismatic haze.

Alexa Meade painted on collaborator Alli Harvard’s face in a high contrast black and white style, turning her into a living, 2D painting. Rainbows were projected onto her by Mike Monaghan, who used prisms and mirrors to bend the light.

As the New York Times describes Alexa’s art, “Think of it as a Van Gogh — that is, if one of his paintings were brought to life as a performative protest."
