Race Against Time by The ARX

This one-of-one edition is the latest work by British digital artist MRE and features the iconic 'Hulk' Rolex Submariner, a rare piece that is no longer in production.

In a world where time is our most precious luxury, MRE playfully toys with the notion of the ticking clock and poses the question, what are we all racing for? Eventually, we all get knocked down by fate; it is inevitable. In the artist’s own words: “On my quest to make something of myself, I realised that I wasn't living in the present but rather in the past and in the future. Ultimately, time wins."

Race Against Time is one of a number of NFT pieces by the leading creator based on the concept of time. But this one's something special! A benchmark among divers’ watches, the 'Hulk' Rolex Submariner embodies the historic link between Rolex and the underwater world. When launched, it represented a historic turning point in time as it set the standard for divers’ watches.

This time, the rare timepiece makes history again as it sets the scene for MRE's 1/1 minted digital creation.
