The second piece in my Urban Tales collection.
This one depicts all the pressure urban life can bring, and it even expands to rural areas due to social media. We're all constantly faced with hate and judgements from all around, but it is up to us to block out the noise and keep our focus on the end result.
It also encapsulates how I often feel about my work; I might not be worth a single cent, but I feel like 300 Rand. I'm constantly bombarded with doubts about my value due to my own insecurities, crushing me under the weight of my own judgement. However, I realise the value of my art doesn't come from monetary value but rather the emotions I express through my art.
