Puck

Hobgoblins were originally considered sprites of the hearth, but the term was later used to refer to more diverse characters. Shakespeare's "Puck" in A Midsummer Night's Dream was a hobgoblin.

" Up and down, up and down, / I will lead them up and down. / I am feared in field and town. / Goblin lead them up and down." --Puck
