Psilocybin

The center of each of the large central circles in the video is the location of each atom in a Psilocybin molecule. This video was made by filming along the surface of a painting I made (of a Psilocybin molecule in 2021), then breaking that video down into pieces and reassembling the pieces into a circular "mandala" shape. Those reassembled video pieces where further organized into the shape of a two dimensional representation of Psilocybin. The rest of the frame was filled up using smaller video pieces. The accompanying audio was created from sounds that I recorded and reassembled into a score to reflect the mood of the video. My hope was to make something that conveyed the beauty and power of this very special medicine.
