I am excited to present my illustration, inspired by the animation film “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” by Hayao Miyazaki. This powerful story explores a world where human greed has led to a global catastrophe, highlighting the consequences of our actions and the repeating mistakes made by humanity. In a world filled with human vices, it’s only natural to feel the desire to hide away and seek protection from the chaos around us. My illustration embodies this concept through the idea of a crystalline sphere as a protective space that can surround and shield an individual. This sphere serves as a metaphorical sanctuary, offering a sense of safety and comfort in times of distress. The image encourages the viewer to use their imagination, envisioning this sphere as a psychological refuge that helps to calm the mind and spirit amidst the turmoil of the external world. It reminds us that even in the bleakest moments, we can create our own safe spaces and find solace within.
