This unique, one-of-a-kind image is from one of the wildest places I've ever been to in Iceland, a country filled with unique, bizarre, and breathtaking natural beauty.

I had wanted to photograph this place for two years before I was able to make it happen this past July. While most people photograph another angle, I did my best to create a different perspective and composition, working with the soft, golden hour light that we had that morning. The final image turned out better than I ever hoped it ever would.

Like a prism, this place has several sides, and each is equally beautiful. This Iceland canyon, which feels like a world created in Inception, is simple, yet so profound.

This image will forever be one of my favorite images I've taken. I hope it transports you to this prismatic place in Iceland.
