The story behind this piece is a long one. I first started working on it back in 2020, over a year ago. Back then, I was a whole year younger, had no idea what an NFT was, and I was probably a good 10 kilograms lighter as well (quarantine weight gain is no joke). However, despite all the changes that both this piece and this creator went through since its inception, one thing remained constant: a desire for balance. Whether I was juggling college and game development, or my internship and my fledgling career as a pixel artist, I always struggled to find my equilibrium. Then NFTs happened, and everything changed. I found a way to make art my job, albeit temporarily, and this piece to me is the culmination of the journey that took over a whole year, stuck in a pandemic, to reach its destination. Despite marking the end of one journey, this piece also symbolizes the beginning of another, and I cannot wait to see where it takes me.
