My granny has a green thumb. I remember her pink, red and yellow roses in her balcony in Pune, India. Pots and pots of plants on steel platform levels that were steady and huge enough for a kid to climb. I remember playing hide and seek on hot afternoon summers in that balcony with my cousins, in the midst of all those huge potted plants; trying our best to not knock any of them down. My mom says I have a green thumb like my granny. Something to do with the fact that by some great miracle, two of my plants started flowering! I've only recently started keeping plants at my new home. And it's become a daily ritual to water and talk to them every morning. I like to think that keeping plants alive require some level of mothering instincts. And all of us do have at least some of those instincts!
This artwork is dedicated to plant moms & dads who gush over lush plants, like moms gushing over their newborn babies. To those who wish 'Plant Swaps' were really a thing, this one is for you!
