I've been here countless times, and in the end, the sun always rises again | Special piece for the AV Union exhibition: "Alive & Electric" | @lucasoxx_
My art opens a portal into an obsolete imagination, one that survives within a generation in resistance, living in a world where technology’s immediacy seems designed to be discarded. The landscapes I create aim to capture places that have never existed but somehow feel familiar—fragments imprinted in our memory, shaped by the high-frequency flicker of cathode rays.
Each piece comes to life through digital video synthesis, with textures and shapes generated by layering VCOs, modulations, color adjustments, and blending. This digital process mirrors analog video synthesis, echoing the aesthetics of an older era while using modern tools. In this particular piece, I wanted to add another layer of texture by sampling from a retro video game, fusing a pixel-art vibe with my own, more traditional style.
Being part of AV Union is truly special; these artists have long inspired my work. It’s an honor to share this drop with such an incredible collective, each artist bringing their own energy that amplifies the spirit of our collaboration
