The work is inspired by the shifter protozoa, which produce a sophisticated network morphology. In this network, cytoplasmic flow streaming, causing the entire structure to expand or contract. The network is so intelligent that it can solve the so-called shortest path problem and generate highly efficient shortest paths between multiple points. This structure does not have a nervous system, so there is a growing interest in understanding the rules that govern its behavior. It is considered a biocomputer with intelligence built into its physical mechanism.
