"When we wrote the instrumental demo, this part was always special to me. It’s one of those sections that developed organically. The melody is established during the part before it, and the riff’s rhythm is inherited from the drums immediately prior, so everything kind of leads to this section, which feels like a big payoff. When the vocals were added in it immediately became one of the most powerful moments on the record in my opinion."
