The 3rd in the BADMEANiNGOOD series saw its first trip across the pond to the Bay Area and was impeccably compiled by Stones Throw Records' head-honcho Peanut Butter Wolf. The tracklist and mix had breakdancing and the dancefloor at its beating heart. Post Kraftwerk early electro from NYC, soul gemstones from Roy Ayers and reggae from Prince Far I - the mix was nothing short of an eclectic masterpiece.
Banksy again produced a signature masterpiece for the album: an LAPD car, its wheels replaced by bricks - its mobility nullified by the artist.
These smaller posters were produced for record shops, purely for promotional purposes – unsurprisingly many of them quietly ended up in the hands of record shop employees and not on the shop walls. These posters have become collectors’ items in their own right.
