A Patient Bloom is what slowly grows,
Beneath the steady weight of growing old,
Harnessing will from water, soil, and rain,
Sturdy stock with roots to weather pain.
It can be ripped, torn, burned, or drought.
It can be drowned, flooded, or cursed with doubt.
A Patient Bloom comes from what seems still.
But bloom it must, and bloom it will.
A wildflower once picked cannot remain the same,
But with roots in a sidewalk, it no longer feels shame.
Patience holds, as patience must,
Until the day the bloom erupts
