Non importava con quanto impegno avesse provato e riprovato, Paco non aveva mai imparato a fischiettare come Omar. Quel suono da usignolo lo scaraventava in una specie di trance, così profonda che uscirne risultava quasi doloroso, e più di una volta aveva rischiato di cadere dall’alto della comoda spalla sulla quale si appisolava.

No matter how hard he tried and tried again, Paco could never learn how to whistle like Omar. That nightingale sound would put him In a sort of trance, so deep that getting out of it was almost painful, and more than once he nearly fell from the comfortable shoulder on which he was dozing off.
