The collage depicts many animals native to the Amazon, as well some famous image, for example, Oxóssi (Orixá of the hunt, forests and animals). This image of Oxóssi is from a illustration by Nelson Boeira Faedrich created in the 70's.
In the background another famous work, The Dream by Henri Rousseau, from 1910. The collage is framed with Swords of St. George palnt, as it is known to be an amulet used in various ways, acting strongly against envy and to ward off people who are malicious.
