This token is a tribute to Manu Chao & every clandestine of this world.
I wanted to take part to Objkt Paint '98 contest as I remembe my little brother & myself drawing with Paint in our young age. Kiss & love to you brother.
Clandestino album came out in 1998 & was my morning alarm as a DISC when I was around 8. All my life I'll remember the feeling of the sun on my face when the first seconds of Clandestino were waking me up.
Clandestino is a bit how I feel today while I mint this Paint artwork to join an art contest without being an artist myself. But Clandestino is way more what millions of humans had to go through for years & lives.
I dedicate this to my great-grandfather who fled Franco's Spain. France would never be what it became today without the millions of clandestinos we welcomed across ages.
To all human beings who suffer from unfair laws & borders, cultural differences and language barriers, To all human beings who know what immigration means, To all human beings who hope for a better future, To all human beings who have never stopped fighting & staying true to their ideas
And to Manu Chao, a great artist that marked the memory of generations through his music. Manu if you see this, myself & everyone who bought this token salutes you!
