Description
O CÃO is a figure perceived as a threat—not because of what it does, but because of what escapes common interpretation. Its distorted form and fragmented gaze suggest a displaced regime of perception, producing estrangement and projection.
The work investigates how difference is constructed as danger, and how external narratives produce the figure of the monster. Meanwhile, forms of violence operate invisibly within what is considered normal.
This version is a digital capture of a drawing that once circulated in urban space, now displaced into the field of archive and digital circulation.
The acquisition of this work directly supports the continuation of Viny WE’s artistic research, including the production of new works, urban interventions, workshops, gatherings, and other cultural actions. It represents an investment in a collective creative process aimed at developing critical, accessible, and widely circulating art.
