"Star" is an image that I created during a photo coverage that I was paid to do, during the premiere of a movie here in Brazil. A false red carpet was laid for people to walk on, volunteer (unpaid) photographers were called to make everyone feel "important". i observed the contradictions of what it means to want to be a star. i took many press photos but also decided to criticize what i was seeing, being influenced a lot by Guy Debord's concept of the society of spectacle criticizing
