"Nocturnal animals are often associated with the night, and their habits of marking their territory with urine or feces make them perfect candidates for horror stories. One such story is "The Night Stalker," about a man who is harassed by a nocturnal animal every night, until one night he is able to catch it and kill it. In "The Wasp's Nest," a group of children are terrorized by a swarm of wasps that seems to come out only at night. And in "The Haunter of the Dark," an old woman tells the story of a curse that befalls anyone who disturbs a group of bats living in a tree in her backyard. These stories showcase the dark side of nocturnal animals, and they are all examples of night dark horror."
