Nobody ever considered the travails of the confetti repairman except for the confetti repairmen. Everyone just assumed confetti was abundant and without defect ready for the explosions and droppings and pourings and various manners of confetti dissemination upon and among and betwixt crowds of celebrant party goers and festive cheermongers to indulge their utmost gluttonous desires and whimsical fantasies. The flitter and flatter of tiny pieces of papers reflecting light in a shimmer and grace that captured their eyes and reflected their reverie was not so much a phenomena of chance as much as it was a product of studied science and intentional design by techonologists and futurists and office managers consumed with delusions of control and just plain delusions. Few people knew or cared about the confetti laborers that did the bidding of such manipulators and self-congratulatory image oppressors. They laboriously manufactured an abundant plenitude of confetti for confetti consumers and assumers. While the laborers did indeed have it hard, it was up to the confetti repairmen to pick up the pieces after the festivities were over, the confetti pieces left over and discarded, trampled underfoot and even soiled from foods and drinks left in the open for the confetti to fall on and in and as a result of all manner of mishap, causing the confetti to be damaged and to be in need of repair in order to deliver what everyone desired from confetti one more time. That’s what the confetti repairmen did, they repaired the confetti.
